As reported by Andrzej Szymkowiak, director of the Municipal Roads Authority, cracked asphalt is being cut out on selected sections of the road (in the direction of the city), and a specialised machine is replacing it with new asphalt.
The work is being carried out on the section from the city limits to Wielkiej Niedźwiedzicy Street. Let us recall that this section of Wrocławska Street was reconstructed in 1999. It is one of Legnica’s busiest thoroughfares.
Once the renovation of this section is complete, work will continue on selected parts of the second carriageway (in the direction of Wrocław). Similar works are also being carried out on sections of Chojnowska and Dziennikarska streets. The total cost of all the work is approximately PLN 200,000. The contractor has undertaken to provide a five-year warranty.
