In the 26th round of the Lower Silesian fourth division, BKS defeated Piast Zawidów 3–1 (1–1). It was the first match for the Bolesławiec team under new coach Henryk Kusojć. The road to victory was not easy for our players. The match was played in terrible weather conditions. It had been raining since the morning and continued throughout the entire game. Fortunately, the surface of the Bolesławiec stadium is well prepared for heavy rainfall, so the match could go ahead. From the referee’s first whistle, the Bolesławiec players went on the attack. However, they lacked accuracy and shots from outside the penalty area. The opening goal was scored in the 24th minute by Marek Majka. The BKS striker took advantage of an uncertain intervention by the visitors’ goalkeeper and finished off the ball after an earlier free kick taken by Paweł Żmudziński. In the 43rd minute, Piast equalized. Interestingly, it was the visitors’ first dangerous attack. Following a free-kick cross, Tomasz Kozłowski headed the ball past Manuel Kowalski.

In the second half, BKS dominated their opponents. Unfortunately, Marek Majka was injured after a collision with the Zawidów goalkeeper. The injury was serious enough that the BKS player had to leave the pitch. Paweł Rissmann came on in his place. In the 74th minute, Henryk Kusojć’s team took the lead. After Piotr Bryłkowski’s pass, Emmanuel Ohagwu rose to meet the ball and headed the Bolesławiec team into the lead. In added time, the popular Manu made it 3–1, which was also the final score. The victory could have been more convincing, but our players wasted several excellent scoring opportunities. Paweł Rissmann and Dariusz Bryjak had chances to score.
