In April, a new series of articles prepared by the Museum of Ceramics, entitled “Objects and Anecdotes,” will appear in the newspaper and on the Istotne Informacje portal. The series will be accompanied by competitions.
The first competition question, asked in the March article announcing the series, was: “In which city were the body and heart of Marshal Mikhail Kutuzov buried?” The answer is: The body and heart of Marshal Mikhail Kutuzov were buried in Kazan Cathedral in Saint Petersburg.
The book prizes went to: Sławomir Gortych, Marcin Krzywdziński and Sławomir Dryjski. We warmly congratulate the winners.
In the next issue of the newspaper, on April 24, we will present an article devoted to the collection of the former Kutuzov Museum, which was closed in 1991. To this day, stories circulate among the residents of Bolesławiec about the price that exhibits commemorating the Russian field marshal commanded on the black market. What was the truth, and where did the weapons and furniture end up? There will also be another competition for readers.
