In the away match in Legnica, BKS faced Miedź’s second team. In the 11th minute, Emmanuel Ohagwu had to leave the pitch. Popularly known as “Manu,” he collided with a Legnica player while contesting the ball. The head wound was so serious that the BKS player had it stitched at the hospital. Krzysztof Janicki came on in his place. In the 12th minute, the Bolesławiec side took the lead. Marek Majka, who bravely moved toward a ball flying in the direction of the penalty area, was credited with the goal. A Miedź player tried to clear the ball, but the tenacious “Maja” got in its way, and the deflection completely surprised the hosts’ goalkeeper. BKS led 1–0.
A few minutes later, the Bolesławiec side had two more scoring opportunities. First, following Paweł Żmudziński’s cross, a Miedź player managed, at the last moment, to “pluck” the ball from Dariusz Bryjak’s head. Shortly afterward, Piotr Dzięgleski struck a powerful shot toward the hosts’ goal. The goalkeeper saved it with great difficulty. In the 32nd minute, BKS extended its lead to 2–0. Piotr Dzięgleski’s cross found the unmarked Jacek Bochnia, who sent the ball into the net with a beautiful header.
BKS dominated in the first half. The Bolesławiec players created more chances. The hosts took several shots at the visitors’ goal, but BKS’s well-performing defence allowed them little. The BKS goalkeeper, Manuel Kowalski, also made two excellent interventions.
After the break, Marek Majka had a chance to extend the lead, but his shot in the 56th minute went straight at the goalkeeper. Unfortunately, as the match progressed, BKS showed increasing signs of fatigue. The demands of Wednesday’s match in Jelenia Góra were certainly taking their toll. It was also significant that the first half in Legnica had been played at a fast pace and had required considerable effort. The hosts took advantage of this and scored a goal in the 62nd minute to get back into the match. Kamil Zieliński was credited with the goal. As the match continued, Miedź’s advantage became increasingly apparent. The visitors successfully repelled the attacks until the 90th minute. Unfortunately, in stoppage time, Dawid Grittner took advantage of Manuel Kowalski coming off his line and lobbed the BKS goalkeeper. The score did not change again: Miedź II Legnica – BKS Bobrzanie 2–2.
