The district stage of the 12th edition of the Polish Language Competition for Lower-Secondary School Students, “Within the Circle of Literary Motifs – The Book – from Papyrus to the Electronic Book,” is now behind us. Its aims include, among other things, stimulating the motivation to read and developing the ability to receive literary works and other cultural texts, including audiovisual ones, thereby bringing participants closer to understanding people and the world.

Nearly 40 lower-secondary school students qualified for the district stage. Paulina Owerko from GS No. 4 took first place. Aleksandra Wagner (GS No. 4) came second, while Ewelina Dubiel (GS No. 2) came third.

The following students received distinctions: Beata Borysiuk (II PG), Ewa Udzielak (GS No. 1), Kamil Zawrotniak (GS No. 4), Gabriela Szpila (II PG), Anita Szerszunowicz (GS No. 2), Julia Fulczyńska (GS No. 4), and Monika Marusiak (I PG).

The event was organized by the District Centre for Education and Staff Training in Bolesławiec. The test was prepared by Krystyna Raszka, a Polish language subject adviser and the competition’s originator.
