A fighter from the “Gladiator” Combat Sports Club Karol Kłosowski won silver at the 4th Polish No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Luboń (Poznań County). In the second round, the Bolesławiec gladiator faced the theoretically toughest opponent—a fighter from the host club, Alliance Team, the European team champion. Karol won the bout in impressive style, submitting his opponent with an armbar.
In the third round, Karol won by disqualification (his opponent used an illegal technique). In the final, our fighter faced an athlete from Golden Team Polska. He lost several points at the very beginning, which his opponent passively defended for the rest of the bout and was reprimanded several times by the referee for doing so. The fight was dull, but the Golden Team representative’s tactics proved effective. Karol lost on points, winning the silver medal.
