In the 15th minute of the match, BKS scored the opening goal. Following an attack down the right side of the pitch, the ball reached Paweł Demczar, who beat the Piast goalkeeper with an accurate shot from 16 metres. BKS tried to extend its lead through positional play. The hosts focused on counterattacks, hoping to surprise the BKS defence and goalkeeper in this way. However, no further goals were scored before the end of the first half.

In the second half, the Piast players began to play more aggressively. They created several dangerous opportunities but were unable to finish them effectively. In one such attack, a Piast player was just too late to reach the ball. After the cross, the ball travelled along the line of the Bolesławiec goal.

As time passed, the atmosphere on the pitch became increasingly tense. The hosts tried at all costs to equalise, resorting to brutal play in the process. Towards the end of the match, Piast were down to ten men because one of their players had to leave the pitch. In the 89th minute, BKS scored a second goal. This time, Jacek Jasiński went on the scoresheet, beating the goalkeeper with a light, technical shot. BKS’s third goal came in stoppage time. Józef Pietrzak was the scorer. The goal followed a team move played out in Piast’s penalty area. Ultimately, BKS Bolesławiec defeated Piast Nowa Ruda 3–0.

Thanks to the victory over Piast, BKS moved up to seventh place in the IV League table. It is also worth noting that all of BKS’s goals in the match against Piast were scored by defenders, not forwards.
