Saturday’s match was an uninteresting spectacle. During the first 30 minutes, the Bolesławiec side created just two dangerous shooting opportunities. The first fell to Marcin Szaja, who tried to surprise Polonia’s goalkeeper with a long-range shot in the 14th minute. However, the shot was off target. In the 19th minute, Tomasz Jasiński wasted an excellent opportunity. The BKS player had only the visiting goalkeeper in front of him, but unfortunately missed by a narrow margin. After his shot, the ball passed just wide of the left post of the Trzebnica goal. Bolesławiec’s opponents also failed to stand out in any way. For most of the first half they defended, counterattacking only occasionally. The visitors created a dangerous move in the 44th minute, when, following a free kick and a header, the ball flew close to the crossbar of Marek Przykłota’s goal.

In the second half, both teams slightly increased the pace of play, but this produced no goals. In the 55th minute, Paweł Demczar shot off target from a free kick. Shortly afterwards, BKS had a good opportunity following a through ball to Radosław Pietkiewicz, but the referee ruled that the Bolesławiec player had been offside. Both the fans and BKS players protested the decision, but their protests achieved little. During the remainder of the match, the Bolesławiec side played very chaotically. Their passes were inaccurate, while BKS attacks ended around the visitors’ penalty area. Our players were unable to finish the chances they created. On top of all this came further controversial decisions by the officials. In the 87th minute, Tomasz Jasiński again found himself with a chance to score. The situation was a copy of the one from the beginning of the match. The BKS player’s shot missed by a narrow margin. The match was extended by five minutes, but the score did not change. After a poor game, BKS drew 0–0 with Polonia Trzebnica.
