In Friday’s competition, the preschoolers from Kindergarten No. 2 scored 57 points. Six-year-olds from Kindergarten No. 4 took second place with 48 points. The children from Kindergarten No. 7 came third with 42 points.
Eight Bolesławiec preschools competed in the event. The ten-member teams consisted of equal numbers of girls and boys. Several fitness events were prepared for the children. They included a race through an obstacle course, throwing a beanbag into a basket, rolling a medicine ball through a slalom course, shooting a hockey stick into a goal and a relay race.
Awards were prepared for the preschools and preschoolers. The three top-placing preschools received trophies and diplomas. The preschools in the remaining places received certificates of participation. The competitors received medals, diplomas and commemorative badges. The six-year-olds cheering for their teams also received the latter. An additional attraction of the competition was a fanfare played on the trumpet especially for the children by Henryk Pawlik.
The 14th Preschoolers’ Sports Competition was organized by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre. The event was held thanks to the support of Primary School No. 1, which made its sports hall available.
