The statue “Jesus, Friend of Children”, created by Prof. Peter Brauer in 1902, comes from the New Evangelical Cemetery (today the municipal cemetery). It was a gift from the Prussian Ministry of Religious Affairs to the Bolesławiec orphanage. After the war, the statue was moved to the Castle Square, then back to the cemetery, and later to the square again, where it remains today.
